Nice to meet you.
I’m Teri Dee
Martial arts has been the rhythm of my life for as long as I can remember. I began training at an early age, and soon after, stepped into the world of competition, a path that has run parallel to my training ever since.
My journey began in the ancient tradition of Chinese Kung Fu, following the disciplined way of Shaolin. I had the rare privilege of training with revered grandmasters from the Shaolin Temple in China. Those years were transformative, a time of intense learning, international performances, and deep physical cultivation.
But for me, martial arts were never just about medals or trophies. I longed for something more, a connection to the spirit behind the movement. I wanted to understand the deeper philosophies woven into Chinese martial traditions and how they could guide us in everyday life.
That longing led me back to China, again and again. On my most recent and most profound journey, I spent time living and training full-time in Jiaozuo, the birthplace of Chen-style Tai Chi. Immersed in daily practice, I lived with the masters and observed how Tai Chi wasn’t just a form of exercise, it was a way of life, shaping the rhythm of the city from the youngest children to the elders in the parks.
That experience became my calling to share what I had learned, not just as tradition, but as practical wisdom. A way for others to enhance the quality of their lives, to find balance, and perhaps even answers they’ve been quietly seeking.
